ADAPTING TO COVID-19

What We Have Done…Where We Are

Friends of Artegan, as we travel through this unprecedented time, we continue to take extraordinary measures to keep our residents, staff, and families safe. As we move forward, we will continue to work with local and state officials, in coordination with the CDC, to stay informed. We are providing peace of mind, fine living options and the best alternative to being alone.

COVID-19 Information

We regularly take action to follow the recommendations of the CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention), the World Health Organization, and other qualified outlets for updated guidelines on preventing the spread of COVID-19.  All Artegan communities have practices and procedures in place for the prevention and management of the COVID-19 outbreak.

LATEST CDC GUIDELINES AND UPDATES

Without a doubt, the health and safety of our residents is always our top priority. To be certain we are on track to provide excellent service, good health and peace of mind, we have been in constant communication with our residents, their family members and our professional colleagues.

One of the great things about our senior living communities is our spirit of togetherness. Yes, we are following the social distancing recommendations, and basic quarantine procedures, but because of the successful work we have done these past months, we are now offering safe, in-person tours of our community. We are open and admitting new residents. We are creating activities for our residents to keep them engaged and enjoying their days. We will strive to prevent loneliness and isolation at every turn. We are fostering a true spirit of friendship and togetherness. At a time when many seniors are isolated at home, we have each other!

We would also like to offer the sincerest appreciation for our incredible staff for everything they’re doing to keep our residents safe and healthy. We can never thank our frontline team enough, especially in times like this.

We know now that this can be a safe time to move. All new residents will be required to have a negative COVID-19 test OR will be able to self-quarantine for 14 days upon move in. We have strict protocols for the moving process. We have vetted moving companies to assure a safe move-in process. Our infection control measures remain firmly in place. There are healthy guidelines to follow for new residents to keep them and others protected. We have a special quarantine activity program to help the days pass quickly and assure they settle in successfully.

If you need assistance, we will help you stay connected to your loved one through phone calls, and other video mediums, so you can keep your distance, but stay in touch. We are sending cards and letters and speaking by telephone as much as possible. We have each other to lean on during this time. We are apart but not alone.

Please call us to learn more. We are here for you.

BE WELL!!!

COVID Vaccine Updates – Community Clinics In Progress

Artegan is very happy to share that our valued residents and staff have been classified as high priority by the CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention) to receive the COVID-19 vaccine. We are very encouraged about the positive impact this will bring in enhancing our ability to prevent the virus in our communities.

At all our Artegan communities we are registered under the Pharmacy Partnership for Long Term Care Program. This program is facilitating COVID-19 vaccinations in our long term care and independent living communities. The CDC/Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) is partnering with CVS, Walgreens and select pharmacies in the Managed Health Care Associates Network (MHA)to distribute and administer vaccines to long term care facilities (LTC). AS a part of this program, these pharmacies:

  • Schedule and coordinate on-site clinic date(s) directly with each community
  • Order vaccines and associated supplies
  • Ensure proper storage of the vaccine.
  • Provide on-site administration of the vaccine for residents and any staff not previously vaccinated.
  • Report required vaccination data to the local, state/territorial, and federal public health authorities within 72 hours of administering each dose.
  • Adhere to all applicable Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) requirements for COVID-19 testing for LTC staff and residents.

CDC COVID-19 Vaccine Frequently Asked Questions
